Join us in support of Councilmember Peter Ortiz, Revitalizing East San Jose

Peter Ortiz is working to revitalize our community. To make up for years of neglect, he is proposing a dedicated $30 million revitalization fund focused on East San José. This fund will support small businesses, rebuild our infrastructure, and beautify our neighborhoods.

Since his election in 2022, Peter has acted to:

• Regulate the over-concentration of smoke shops in our community.
• Prevented two new liquor stores from opening.
• Created legislation requiring homeless service providers to report outcomes.
• Supported many new murals in the district that showcase the diversity of East San Jose, including one dedicated to the local Vietnamese community.
• Standing up to ICE for our community

Peter Ortiz has stood up for our community against the abuses of the Trump Administration and ICE. He has:

• Pushed for San José to reaffirm its policy of non-cooperation with ICE during immigration enforcement operations.
• Introduced legislation for San Jose’s largest-ever commitment to immigrant legal defense.
• Proposed a ban on the use of masks by law enforcement.
